Edward Haddon

Edward Haddon's exquisite miniature landscapes on copper and canvas are based on comparisons and reflections of the city and the countryside. His pictures capture the fleeting moment, often at dusk or dawn, whilst portraying a beautiful romantic quality.

Haddon is an escapist painter who drifts in and out of city and country life. Travelling around, he searches for his idea of the perfect painting, using his camera as a drawing tool or a starting point from which to elaborate. The results are balanced yet highly evocative compositions, commonly revealing an unusual perspective or a different angle on a familiar view.
