Winder-Boyle at the Royal Academy

2009-06-30 00:00

The wonderful talent of Ann Winder Boyle was aired on BBC2's special edition of the culture show on 17th June 2009.  The programme focused on four artists in a bid for their work to be featured in this year's Royal Academy Summer Exhibition.

Ann was successful, and has had a wonderful response to her work since the programme was aired.

Ann Winder-Boyle is a mixed media collage artist who explores the themes of childhood, time and space. Her images evoke memories and emotions that draw the viewer into a strangely familiar place that can engender either a feeling of deep comfort or an inexplicable sense of unease. Using nostalgia as the emotive key, Ann combines a variety of processes with a diverse range of materials, including old books, beeswax, bindings and wood. Ann has a first class BA (Hons) degree and has been selected for the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition for three consecutive years.
